NJ Belly dancer Serafina

Serafina is an elegant and charismatic performer who truly shines when she takes the stage. Her discovery of Middle Eastern dance began at Serena Studios in Manhattan, where she studied intensively with Serena Wilson, Diamond Salome, and Jenna, among other talented instructors. She performed for the first time at the age of 17 with Salome’s Sultanas, and became an active professional in the belly dance community in 2004.
Serafina’s unique style is influenced by her early training in artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, various forms of dance, and theater arts, in addition to the techniques of the many teachers she has taken classes and workshops with. She recently joined forces with New York-based Dance Soul Company, and in the past year has performed onstage with Bollywood band Jersey Rhythms, as well as at the NJN Studio and Symphony Space theaters as a Beladi Dancer on the Chantal Chamandy Beladi Tour. Serafina has been a featured dancer at several Middle Eastern and Indian restaurants throughout New Jersey, and is in high demand as an entertainer for weddings, birthday parties, bridal showers, and theme nights. Her ability to dance to a wide range of music, from classical Egyptian pieces to modern Bollywood hits, makes her a versatile performer and an audience favorite.
In addition to her more traditional performances, Serafina (Russian: Серафина) has danced with the Cosmic Brotherhood of Ra and was lead vocalist in the rock band PipeDreams. She was recently featured as a mermaid in DeLeon’s music video for La Serena, and takes on various modeling projects when she is not dancing. She is available for solo and group shows, as well as film, theater, and other creative work. Serafina brings passion and grace to everything she does, and is sure to delight and captivate audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
