Belly Dancer from New York City Anna

Armenian supermodel and belly dancer Anna is one of the best dancers in New York City area. She has been interested in all nationality of folk dances since her childhood. Anna studied and graduated with an Excellency Diploma of International Folk Dance from the University of Choreography for Russian Ballet in Armenia. Anna arrived in New York in her teens and danced professionally and choreographed her own dance pieces since. She has also trained in New York with well-known artists as Andrea del Conte for flamenco at the Broadway Center and took classes at Frazel's School for Belly Dance. Specifically, she is trained in classical ballet, Jazz ballet, Flamenco, and Belly dance. She took some classes of Indian ancient folk dance and more recently she has been exploring hip-hop and many other types of dances to create her own unique mixture of synthesizing of old and new. Anna has performed in theatrical settings as well as clubs and restaurants for private parties, at such places as Le Cirque, the Plaza Hotel, Tavern on the Green, St Regis Hotel, Rainbow Room, Russian Samovar, as well as the Russian Embassy in Washington DC. She has also performed for many celebrities at their private parties: Mikhail Baryshnikov, Henry Kissinger, Barbara Walters, Oscar de la Renta (designer), and also the european singer Ingrid. Anna had her own sold out concert at the legendary Joes’s Pub at the Joseph Public Theatre she had movie appearances in Autumn in New York as a gypsy dancer, directed by Joan Chen, and starring Richard Gere and Winona Ryder. she had an television appearances on MTV, ESPN, Persian TV, and had a commercial on Russian television. She is involved in modeling and commercials as well. With her solo act of variety of dances, Anna has traveled to many places such as California, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Florida, Washington DC, and Philadelphia.
